Angela's Birthday

For Angela's birthday, we went to the Denver Aquarium. It was money well spent. We all had so much fun!

Jay

Angela

Lucy

What are you guys thinking? Get me out of this shark's mouth. I don't care if it is dead.

Lucy loved looking at the fish. She kept trying to touch them through the glass. She even talked to some of them.

Here is a Bengal Tiger

Angela touching a sting ray.

Jay touching a sting ray.

After the aquarium. We went to our favorite restaurant, Johnny Carino's. Lucy was such a good girl. She sat in the high chair the whole time. As long as we kept feeding her, she was happy. We couldn't believe how fast she was shoveling the food in, but when we got up to leave, we found a big pile under Lucy's chair. Sorry bus boy!

Labor Day

We went to the Colorado Balloon Classic on Labor Day. It is the longest continuously running hot air balloon festival in the Rocky Mountain Region as well as the State of Colorado. It is similar to the balloon festival in Provo on the 4th of July, but there are more balloons (just not in this picture!).

We chased this balloon to the landing site. This is moments before they deflated it. It is fascinating to be so close to a hot air balloon and see their length when they are deflated.

After lunch, we hiked Section 16/Palmer Trail. It is a 6 mile hike (and the first half is all uphill).

Eventually, Lucy got really tired. "This hiking stuff can really wear ya out!!"

We stopped in the shade by a babblin' brook.

Lucy sure loved daddy's hat. He doesn't wear it that much, but absolutely had to because he was so sun burnt from the Wyoming/Weber State football game.
