St. Patrick's Day at the Winterton home was full of fun! We started the day off right with green milk, green scrambled eggs, and shamrock shaped pancakes. Lucy gagged on the eggs and only ate 3 bites of her pancake, but I had fun making them.
In the afternoon, I took Lucy to a park because it was beautiful out. She had lots of fun playing with her friends.
For dinner, I made a traditional Irish meal: corned beef, and potatoes and cabbage.
After dinner, we talked about St. Patrick and how he taught the people of Ireland about the godhead using the shamrock and other Irish folklore. No sooner had we finished, there was knock on the door. A sneaky leprechaun had left a treat on our doorstep.
Lucy had a blast mixing up the green pudding that the leprechaun left. She had it all over the kitchen. I should not have mopped right after dinner. What was I thinking?

You are so good! And I love how you don't freak out as Lucy makes a mess! So much fun! Oh, how did dinner turn out?
What a fun day you had ! Dad got a big kick out of Lucy gagging on the green eggs since I've created a similar stir in this house for 33years. (I had to laugh this year. For the very first time, Dad got up VERY early and fixed our St. Patricks Day breakfast, without green food coloring added. I was so grateful for breakfast and so amused by his efforts to prevent green eggs, I couldn't complain. I got him later anyway). How fun to receive green pudding, too !
