Happy Easter!

Our Easter could not have been more perfect. On Thursday, Lucy colored Easter eggs for the first time. Grandma Leisa and Grandpa Todd were visiting us and joined in the fun.
Lucy was more interested in putting the eggs back in the carton than in coloring them. She has a great sense of order. I wonder where she gets it;)
This little egg has Lucy's hand print on it.

On Saturday, we took Lucy to the Chapel Hills Mall for the My99.9 Easter Egg Hunt. Although it was 8:00 in the morning, the place was packed! Lucy was lucky to get some eggs. We all felt sorry for the little ones who didn't get any because of the greedy people who filled their baskets to the top!

While we waited in line, the cow from Chick-Fil-A came over to say hello. Lucy was a little cranky-I don't blame her. It was early!

As soon as the hunt began, we found a good spot to grab some eggs. Even though, we had been practicing at home for the past week, Lucy was still unsure about taking the eggs. Angela tried to show her how and placed an egg in Lucy's basket. Lucy took it out and put the egg back where it came from.
Lucy soon got the hang of it and collected 5 eggs.
Lucy was really happy when mommy showed her the candy inside the eggs. Lucy happily snacked on her Smartees on the way home.

On Sunday, the Easter Bunny left a basket full of goodies for each of us-books, a picture of Jesus, sidewalk chalk, a wind-up chick, and candy for Lucy; a book for Angela; and a basket of candy for Jay. Lucy devoured all of her Easter candy in about two minutes. The Easter Bunny was smart and only filled one egg with a couple of jelly beans and one Reeses mini peanut butter cup, so Lucy didn't eat that much candy.
Lucy loved her PB cup-she takes after her mommy!
We had a delicious breakfast pizza for brunch, and then watched General Conference. The messages were wonderful, just as they always are. We were reminded that we are the Savior's hands and must serve others as he would serve. We also loved President Monson's testimony of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. How grateful we are that death is not the end. Families CAN be together forever, and we too will live again!

Jay and Lucy were having so much fun playing together. Angela captured these precious moments.

We enjoyed a delicious Easter dinner-ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, breadsticks, juice and these cute little deviled eggs.
